"Amazing Resort for a relaxing and fun family vacation. They offer a ferry dock on the property which makes it a lit mire convenient to come through St Thomas. The villas are beautifully made, very specious and well equipped There are limited places to eat with in the resort ( 3 only) but between the 3 one can get multiple choices of food. The beach ( man made) is very relaxing and offers great SunSet viwes. For those intersted in photography or just watching the Sun setting on the horizon as if being engulfed by the sea... This is a great place to spend the evening. Most resort is easily walkabale ( although like rest of the island, it is some ehat terranious) They offer complimentary golfcart service for within different sections of the resort The pools are great and very inviting. Entire property is very green with trees, flower bushes and lush grass. Coconut trees through out the proerry are loaded with coconuts. The fitness center is size able with seperate Cardio and Strength training areas. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are always taxies available for trips to downtown Or other parts of the island, the taxi fares are posted in many places including inside the taxis. Over all great place for a relaxing vacation"
"Great location and property. We bought here once 10 years ago when the mission seemed to be to please, service and ensure the needs of owners at this property were met first. They also had events, more service options and the service/ attitude was 2nd to none. However, since the Marriott acquisition, we have seen a much lower bar for service, self service, poor attitudes and less options or appreciation of its ownership. Or family owns 3 and I must say it feels like they are pushing us out. Maybe they see the future being too go back to hotel first approach here. Hopefully we will see options for the future soon as they don't seem bright at this time. Beautiful St John is a treat and must do and a a hotel, Im sure you will be happy."
"Long review incoming. Visited Sept 2025. Use the Westin’s transport because it made it very convenient and ended up being the cheaper option. Plus you can use your passes to go back and forth to St. Thomas for free. We came with family and in total had 3 villas in 2 different buildings. Building 27 was on top of a very steep hill which we walked a couple times but by the end we just started taking the shuttle instead of bothering. The view on the top of the hill is worth it though! We had multiple power outages and our building was being partially renovated during our stay. That part was annoying as they had furniture and cars parked all over the place. But our rooms were recently renovated and nice. This is the main reason for marking it 4 instead of 5 stars. There are great restaurants (mango deli and snorkels) that were visited a lot plus a pool bar and access to the beach front. You can also get to the local store and get groceries, it is just across the street and the shuttle will take you to the front of the resort so you walk about a third of a mile. We had plenty of space in our villa for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teens. Kitchen and balcony, all made the trip relaxing because we had our own spaces. All the staff here was very nice and helpful. They have an events calendar so pay attention because we had free mimosas one day, a beer tasting another, and a yogurt parfait day as well. So it’s nice to have those fun little extras especially cause drinks and food are not cheap on the island. It was very relaxing and nice for a family. We stayed on the island the whole time. Overall this is a great place to spend time with family. It was quiet. I had some neighboring villas having parties but they ended by 10 and were not too loud."
Consider visiting during an off-peak month if you're looking for potentially fewer crowds and a more tranquil experience, though free events like mimosa days occur year-round.
Take advantage of the complimentary golf cart service to easily navigate the resort, especially if your villa is on a hill. Be sure to check the events calendar upon arrival, as they often have free mimosas, beer tastings, or other special offerings. While on-site dining is available, local taxis can conveniently take you downtown or to other parts of the island, with fares clearly posted.
